The Body Shop Tea Tree Daily Solution review

If you’ve read any of my skincare posts before you will know that I love tea tree as a remedy for my spot and acne prone skin and The Body Shop recently came to my rescue by releasing a wide range of tea tree skincare products. Yay! I already use a few products from this range which I have blogged about before so you can check them out here.

But todays post is all about this little daily serum that I’ve been using for just over a week which seems to be gradually improving the condition of my skin. Before getting to the results of the product and what it’s done for me personally, here’s all the information you need to know about this daily solution.

Everything you need to know

What is it called?
The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution.

How much do you get?

How much is it?
RRP £13.00 but watch out for offers!

Who is it suitable for?
People who struggle with spot prone / blemished skin.

What does it do?
It aims to combat blemishes and troubled areas of your skin by reducing redness and inflammation.

How does it work?
Tea tree is a natural antiseptic and Australian tribes have been using the plant as a natural healer for thousands of years due to its antibacterial properties.

It works particularly well on acne and spots due to its disinfecting properties which stops the troubled areas spreading. Plus, tea tree is also naturally very soothing which in effect calms the skin.

What type of product is it?
It’s an oil free serum which makes it an ideal product for oily skin.

What’s the texture like?
The serum is clear and almost water like. Because it’s oil-free, it’s not at all greasy and is quickly absorbed by the skin leaving neither a heavy or sticky feel. It’s extremely lightweight and refreshing which is exactly why I love it.

What does it smell like?
Tea tree. Duh. But the reason I put this question in here is because due to it’s pretty strong smell, I was initially expecting the product to sting but I couldn’t have been more wrong as it’s surprisingly very soothing.

How often do you use it?
Twice a day, morning and night.

How do you apply it?
The product has a glass dropper with a rubber top which you squeeze to extract the ideal amount of serum you need. You can then apply the serum by dropping it onto your face with the applicator and rubbing in with your fingers in circular motions.

How much serum do you need?
I use around 4 drops; one on my forehead, each cheek and chin and then rub that good stuff all around!

How does it fit in with our normal skincare routines?
I use this product after removing makeup and cleansing, followed with my current moisturiser.

Is it vegan?
Yes! The Body Shop are 100% vegan and firmly against any form of animal testing.

Where can I get it?
Online or at most Body Shop stores, although subject to availability.

My experience

While the frequent use of this product hasn’t stopped the formation of new blemishes altogether, it does appear to be reducing the appearance of them at a faster rate.

More importantly to me, it has improved the appearance of some spot scarring that I have around my chin area as the area appears less red and angry looking.

As a result, the overall condition of my skin is gradually improving and I am feeling much more confident without any makeup on, which in turn is also helping my skin so I really can’t thank The Body Shop enough for this little gem!

Has anyone else used this product or any of the range? I would love to hear your thoughts about them!

  1. I’ve been using this recently and I really love it too- I can’t wait to see the results after I’ve been applying it for a bit longer! Great post x

  2. I have started using the tea tree daily solution. And in so love with it because I have an oily and a blemish skin that breakouts frequently. Since I started using this, my skin is getting clearer and I notice a positive difference. However, I do feel my skin is getting a bit dry. Can you suggest a good moisturizer to use along with this solution?

    1. Hiya! So glad to hear that 🙂 Yeah I would recommend the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Spot Proofing Oil Free Moisturiser! It’s good for sensitive and blemished skin like ours xx
