A Daisy does not pretend to be a Rose
Feel free to explore my website, where you will find most things I have written up to date for both my personal blog and as a freelancer, alongside some magazine design.
According to the celtic legend, God sprinkled daisies over the earth to cheer people up and I want to try and achieve exactly that.
Daisy’s are also composite flowers, meaning they consist of two flowers in one; in a way I am also a composite of two identities. Although I have been called Daisy since I was seven years old (you can read why on my blog), my legal name is Georgia so don’t be confused if you see the author to some of my work as Georgia Shirley. Confusing, I know. As a bit of a clumsy character, I am the walking definition of ‘oopsy daisy’ so I feel Daisy is a more suitable name anyway.
Born and raised in Devon, a desire to write and design took me half way up the country from the South-West to Nottingham Trent University to study Journalism which is what inspired me to create this website. I am really lucky to experience the best of both worlds; a laid back, scenic Devon and the hustle and bustle of Nottingham.
Thank-you for visiting!
Have fun and remember to smile,
